A Little Bit About Me

I took formal piano lessons beginning at the age of 9, and have continued to expand my own knowledge and repertoire even as an adult. There is always room for growth and knowledge in the world of music. For over 19 years, I have taught both children and adults; I teach simply because I love music and enjoy the process of watching my students develop their own musical expression. I believe in beginning right where the student is ready to learn, and moving at the pace they feel most comfortable with. Music is a beautiful language all on its own, and often helps me to express myself in ways I never can with words.

Aside from piano, I have been happily married for more than two decades and am a proud mom of four beautiful children. I enjoy going to the beach with my family, eating dark chocolate peanut butter cups from Trader Joe's (they really are the best!), and reading wonderful books.
